Coltraine

In 2000 I took a class with a local artist by the name of Tom Cramer. In his class he taught us the principles of abstract expressionism. After the class was over I continued on my own taking the lessons that I had learned and applied them to the following paintings shown below. For this particular piece, I would listen continuously to Coltraine on my music box, taking his energy and applying to canvas. This painting is the end result.
